Is there something beyond us…a ‘Higher Power’? If so, what sort?
A benevolent parent…guiding, approving, loving?
A whimsical trickster…looking for entertainment?
A stern master…looking for obedience?
An ambivalent spirit…who created on a whim, then moved on?
A celestial champion…testing mankind’s fortitude?
Or, no ‘Higher Power’ at all…our existence is due to a cosmic roll of the dice?
To answer the question, some say ‘Faith’ is all that’s needed, others say ‘Science’.
I say, “Too many factors, too many unknowns, too much emotion, too much history…”
We each will choose what we assume is the truth, but in reality, our feeble minds don’t have the capacity to truly answer the question.
So, we build our ‘reality’ around our assumption, and live our lives as best we can.
After all, we’re only human…
